When trying to install Tomcat6 on a SLES11 host (for Groupwise Webacces 801HP1) you will get a error like:
error: Failed dependencies:
ecj >= 3.2.2 is needed by tomcat6-lib-6.0.18-17.1.noarch
If you look in Yast you will not find the package needed. Just go to http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/suse/noarch/ and search for ecj by doing a Ctrl+f. Download the file and perform a install by doing a rpm -Uvh ecj-3.3-122.2.noarch.rpm
Now you can install tomcat 6
Next week for the 9th time the Novellcongres.nl is held in the Netherlands. Normal this congress is in may, but Novell planned Brainshare in the same week so they had to move.
Like last year I’m also giving a session.
The session title is Open Enterprise Server 2 and vSphere best practices. It’s a 2.0 version of the sessions of last year. Those sessions where bases on VMware ESX 3 and OES2 sp1. As you all probably know with
VMware vSphere we went from hardware version 4 to hardware version 7. Also I gained new information how to align NSS on a VMFS and a VMware Virtual Disk. Curious? Go to my session? You’re not a dutch guy? Wait a while and give me a note, I will send the presentation to you!
So if you are a dutch guy, there are still places available and come to my session!
The word was out today on Brainshare. Groupwise 8 public beta is availible.
The major changes are (except bug fixes of course):

- Drag-and-drop in the GroupWise Windows client for transferring GroupWise items and files to a Teaming folder that is displayed in the GroupWise Folder List
- Find option in the GroupWise Windows client for searching a Teaming site
- Integration with Novell Conferencing
- Schedule a conference in the GroupWise Windows client
- Join a conference from a scheduled appointment in the GroupWise Windows client
